The bus stop shelter simultaneously carves out the background and yet comes to the fore of the middle ground.
And, two parts "Let it snow" and "I'll be home for Christmas, you can count on me," plus one part "She longed to see that seaport town, called Canadee-i-o."
Bus floating mysteriously, small single figure running, running--more existential than transportational. Towards home, towards a voluptuous mechnical mother from the past, towards... (What on earth does this mean?) These things are hard to fathom--maybe that's why we have paintings... I like the wish to make it real...
